Our Mission

Every year there are injuries on duty. Most of the time they are able to return to active duty. In some cases they can’t, and are given a staff role or medically retired. Our goal is to give them another option to serve the agency and community they signed up for.  We provide them drones, training and tools that allow them to support their agencies and get Back In Service.

Code 41

Code 10-41 or Code 41 for short is the call sign many agencies have used to designate an officer is ‘in service’. Back 41’s goal is to get injured public safety agents Back in Service so they can continue their mission to protect, serve and keep our communities safe.

Who we serve

Law Enforcement

We empower law enforcement officers with drone skills to maintain public safety beyond physical limitations, ensuring their continued service and support for communities.

Firefighters

We equip firefighters with drone expertise, enabling them to contribute to emergency response efforts and safeguard communities despite injury challenges.

Paramedics & EMTs

We provide paramedics and EMTs with drone training, enabling them to extend their lifesaving abilities and dedication to community care despite duty-related injuries.

Goals & Objectives

2024 Launch

In 2024 we hope to get the first 2-3 pilots through the program and Back In Service. Our training operates in Austin, San Antonio and Houston. We will make this available at no cost to the agency or pilot.

2025 Grow

For now we are self funding the program. We will evaluate and tweak the process and program as we go. Once we have 2-3 pilots through, we will start to raise funding to scale to 10-12 pilots in 2025.

2026 Scale

Our goal is to be in a position to hand off a playbook to other state or national organizations. We will work with national public safety drone organizations to share this model with their memberships.
